US Paid $50K Per Head To Afghans For Deaths; Told Money 'Came From Obama'

The United States government has paid compensation to the families of each Afghan killed or wounded in the incident in Kandahar attributed to Staff Sergeant Robert Bales:

The United States has paid $50,000 in compensation for each Afghan killed in the shooting spree attributed to a U.S. soldier in southern Afghanistan, an Afghan official and a community elder said Sunday.

The families of the dead received the money Saturday at the governor's office, said Kandahar provincial council member Agha Lalai. Each wounded person received $11,000, Lalai said. Community elder Jan Agha confirmed the same figures.

They were told that the money came from U.S. President Barack Obama, Lalai said.

A U.S. official confirmed that compensation had been paid but declined to discuss exact amounts, saying only that it reflected the devastating nature of the incident. The official spoke anonymously because of the sensitive nature of the subject.

This is disturbing in a number of ways.

First of all, what we've done, essentially, is admitted guilt and paid blood money in accordance with Pashtun tribal custom. And what we've admitted to in their eyes is not one soldier apparently having a breakdown, but what an Afghan commission charged with 'investigating this tragedy came up with - the fantasy that this was a planned U.S. military strike involving 15 to 20 soldiers with air support.

If Sergeant Bales comes to trial and is found not guilty because of PTSD, temporary insanity or some similar cause, just how do you think the Afghans are going to react - since we've already admitted guilt by paying the blood money?

Another point that bothers me intensely...who does President Obama think he is using our money to do this and then taking personal credit for it, as if it came out of his own pocket rather than ours?

Clueless and arrogant, all in one package.

De Facto Sharia Costs Dearborn Michigan $100K

That's the ruling from a judge in Detroit on a case that determined that the decision by police in neighboring Dearborn to arrest a Christian pastor who wanted to hand out Christian tracts at the city’s Arab fest in 2009 was illegal.

After Judge R. Steven Whalen ruled that the City of Dearborn violated the First Amendment rights of Sudanese Christian Pastor George Saieg, his attorneys requested that Dearborn pay the legals costs incurred in their defending Pastor Saieg, and Judge Whalen awarded $103,401.96 in fees and costs to be awarded to attorney Robert J. Muise.

Since Muise was working on behalf of the Thomas More Law Center at the time, the fees will go to them.

Muise now works with heavyweight attorney David Yerushalmi in the American Freedom Law Center, a new law firm that fights for faith and freedoms through litigation, public policy initiatives and other activities.

“The award of attorney fees in this case,” he said, “is critical in the lawfare against civilization jihad and dhimmitization, or subjugation, of an entire municipality in Michigan. Dearborn has a long record of this kind of illegal, heavy-handed treatment of Christians as an attempt to placate Dearborn’s Shariah-faithful [Muslims]. The court’s ruling today demonstrates that this kind of behavior will come at great cost.”

The judge said in the order, “In this case, the plaintiff received the full relief he sought – an invalidation of the leafleting restriction and a permanent injunction barring its enforcement. … Because this result ‘cannot fairly be labeled as anything short of excellent, [plaintiff] is entitled to a fully compensatory fee.’”

The Saieg case was just one of several that have developed in recent years because of the city of Dearborn’s special protections for Islam at the festival, at the cost of those who would speak of, or hand out information about, other religions.

Muise, in fact, recently won acquittals on charges of “disturbing the peace” brought by Dearborn against a group of Christians after they were arrested by Dearborn police in 2010 for a similar kind of speech activity.

The Detroit News had reported that officials for a pro-Islamic advocacy organization accused the Christians of not playing by the rules of the Arab fest. The report said members of the Michigan chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations accused the Christians of passing out missionary literature at the festival in violation of rules that required them either to pass out the materials from a “paid booth” or “outside of the festival area.”

Whalen said Saieg and his Arabic Christian Perspective organization sued Dearborn and its police chief, Ron Hadda, because after distributing Christian information at the event for several years, he was told police would arrest him if he gave information to anyone at the Arab fest.

Heh!

'Dearbornistan', as it's known locally has been notorious for this kind of discriminatory behavior for some time,aided and abetted by Chief Hadda and Dearborn's dhimmi Mayor Jack O'Reilly.

Of course, in a egregious civil rights violation like this, the Pastor would normally be represented by civil rights attorneys from our Department of Justice if we had a DOJ that was actually concerned about civil rights rather than appeasing Islam.

The Palestinian Authority had its own way of commemorating International Holocaust Remembrance Day this year.

They chose that occasion to have official Fatah-run Palestinian TV glorify the murderers of the Fogel family.

You might remember the Fogels.



They were a young family living in the Jewish community of Itamar who were at home, relaxing after the Sabbath. On March 11, 2011, two Arabs affiliated with the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine(PFLP) Hakim Awad and Amjad Muhammad Fawzi Awad carried out an assault they had planned in advance, cutting through a security fence, breaking into the Fogel's home and murdering the five members of the family pictured above, including a 3-month-old baby. They butchered them without even the regard a slaughterer usually gives to an animal.

The two were captured by the Shin Bet, tried in Israeli courts and sentenced to consecutive life terms since Israel has no capital punishment. Neither ever expressed the slightest remorse.

Last week,official 'Palestinian' TV broadcast greetings to the two murderers on a show called 'For You', dedicated to Palestinian prisoners in Israeli prisons.

Hakim Awad's mother was an honored guest, praising the two killers as 'heroes' and referring to Hakim as her “dear son.”

Hakim's aunt also participated, also calling the two murderers “heroes,” and calling Awad “the hero, the legend” with the enthusiastic approval from show's host.

The producers of the program and its host knew in advance that the callers were relatives of the Fogel murderers and introduced them to the audience while text with the names of the callers appeared at the bottom of the screen: “Prisoner Hakim Awad’s family / Awarta – Nablus.”

Not one western leader condemned it.

Upon doing a little further research through one of my sources in a direct position to know, I found out that both Awads are on the list of those 'Palestinian' terrorists whose families receive an official monthly salary directly from the Palestinian Authority while they're in prison.

Now, it shouldn't be any great shock to anyone that the 'Palestinian Authority' and Mahmoud Abbas consider murdering Jews and Jewish children in particular to be praiseworthy and something to be rewarded financially. Nor should it surprise anyone that those whom murder Jews are held up as role models and heroes. Mahmoud Abbas and Fatah, after all, are the same folks who made child murderer Sami Kuntar an honorary 'Palestinian' citizen and gave him a hero's welcome after he was released in a prisoner swap, the same people who name public buildings and streets after murderers and teach their children about the virtues of killing Jews in their mosques and schools.

My quarrel here isn't with them because I expect nothing else. Based on what they teach their children and the sort of people they make heroes out of, they are whom and what they are, and one doesn't blame a mad dog when he bites someone - you simply deal with the situation so he doesn't bite anyone again.

But I am quite sick to death of another entirely different group of people.

As I mentioned, the program in question aired right around what is supposedly an international day of recognition and remembrance of the victims of the Holocaust.From all over the EU, various politicians issued statements about the horrors of the Holocaust and voiced their resolve that it should never happen again, some of them quite eloquently. The Norwegians, one of the most anti-Semitic nations in Europe surprised everyone by finally admitting that yes, we did help the Nazis round up our Jews and deport them, and we were pretty enthusiastic about it too. Sorry about that! It only took them until 1998, close to 60 years to get around to finally compensating those survivors who were still alive for property that was seized from them way back in 1942. I suppose this latest apology pretty much cleans the slate for the Norwegians are as far as they're concerned.

Our own president weighed in with his signature baritone, saying that United States would “pledge to speak truth to those who deny the Holocaust.”

“As we celebrate the strength and resilience of survivors, we pledge to stand strong against all those who would commit atrocities, against the resurgence of anti-Semitism, and against hatred in all its forms.”

Admirable sentiments, all worthy of applause.

Until it hits you.

Where did they get the cash to build a girl's school named after Dalal Mughrabi, whose claim to fame was leading a band of 'Palestinian' killers in the hijack of a bus and the murder of 13 children, some of them Americans? How do the salaries of Fatah's al-Aksa Martyr's Brigade get paid, and how are the schools, media and mosques that teach genocide as heroism and 'martyrdom' funded?

They're funded by the very same people that made such pious and stirring declarations on International Holocaust Remembrance Day, including our president. The money comes from the EU, by UNRWA, by USAid, and by the IMF.

Muslim Brotherhood spiritual leader Yusuf al-Qaradawi has called repeatedly for genocide against Israel and a second Holocaust.In one of his sermons, he asked God "to kill the Jewish Zionists, every last one of them."

In another sermon on al-Jazeera he said "Throughout history, Allah has imposed upon the [Jews] people who would punish them for their corruption. The last punishment was carried out by [Adolf] Hitler. G-d willing, this time it will be the believers."

Yet President Obama's Deputy Secretary of State Nicholas Burns has had cordial meetings with Brotherhood leaders in Egypt to discuss relations with the US, and Qaradiwi himself is actually employed by our State Department as I write this as an intermediary with the Taliban. And the EU nations are even less shy about meeting with Hamas and Brotherhood officials than our State Department.

Iran has repeatedly called for genocide against 'the Zionist entity' and is currently working on a program to obtain nuclear weapons. Has any of the nations whose leaders uttered all those well meant, moving pledges of never again done anything significant to stop them?

In looking at all this, it's impossible to avoid a simple conclusion. The same nations lighting candles, attending ceremonies and making pious speeches about the Holocaust are more than happy to aid and abet the equivalent of today's Nazis when the mainstreaming of genocide in the name of Allah is involved.

For all the fuss over dead Jews, avoiding a repeat performance today with live Jews seems to have a very different priority for a lot of them.

The 'international community' is hell bent on using every subterfuge, pressure and threat to try to bully Israel into retreating to the indefensible borders Israeli statesman Abba Eban appropriately called 'the Auschwitz lines'.

They cheerfully fund the 'Palestinians', give them legitimacy and ignore their goal of murdering every Jew in Israel, just as the Fogels were murdered. They're happy to deal with the Muslim Brotherhood regardless of the Brotherhood's call to drive every Jew out of the Middle East by force. And irony of ironies,Germany,who just gifted Israel's Holocaust museum Yad Vashem with a 10 million euro grant is Iran's largest trading partner in Europe.

It's impossible not to get a certain message out of this...one that carries a certain, long standing stench about it, an echo from a not-so-distant past.

And even though Article Two of the UN charter forbids threatening genocide or aggression against a fellow member, Iran's Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is an invited guest at the UN and Iran remains a member in good standing.

For my part, I'm tired of listening to these hypocritical sentiments. I'm beyond tired...I'm sick to death of it, almost to the point of nausea. Too many of these western leaders move their mouths about their 'commitments to Israel's security' and the horrors of the Holocaust, while at the same time aiding and abetting the jihad against the Jews at worst, or ignoring it at best.

This is exactly why a strong, powerful Israel is a necessity. Because a lot of the people outside Israel who solemnly intone "Never Again" on Holocaust Remembrance Day aren't prepared to take any action whatsoever to back it up...to their shame.

Iran Threatens War With US, Calls Israel 'A Cancerous Tumor That Must Be Cut Out'

For all the nonsense about talks and engagement with Iran, nothing has changed and if anything, the Islamic Republic is upping the ante.

The Iranians are still barring UN inspectors from their nuclear sites in spite of three days of talks with Western diplomats The reaction of the West , of course, is to wait to see what happens at more talks scheduled later in the month - the same pattern the Iranians have used to game the West for the past five years or more, ever since their illegal nuclear program was outed by Iranian dissidents.

Iran is also continuing to develop its missile technology. It turns out that the Mullahs are working on advanced missiles with a range of over 6,200 miles ( 10,000 kilometers) capable of hitting any spot in Europe and America's east coast. One of the sites involved was the Iranian missile base in Bidganeh, where that mysterious explosion occurred back in November.

Today, after prayers marking the anniversary of the country’s 1979 Islamic Revolution, Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei addressed a large crowd, and directly threatened the US and Israel with destruction. He pledged that Iran would not withdraw from its nuclear agenda under any circumstances and promised to retaliate against any western sanctions saying, “In response to threats of oil embargo and war, we have our own threats to impose at the right time."

"Americans say all options are on the table even the option of military strike [against Iran],” he declared.

“Any military strike is ten times more harmful for America. Such threats show that they have no sufficient discourse against Iran's logic and discourse."

And they continue to do so. They apparently prefer to wait until it's too late, and we will pay dearly in blood if this folly continues.

For all the nonsense about talks and engagement with Iran, nothing has changed and if anything, the Islamic Republic is upping the ante.

The Iranians are still barring UN inspectors from their nuclear sites in spite of three days of talks with Western diplomats The reaction of the West , of course, is to wait to see what happens at more talks scheduled later in the month - the same pattern the Iranians have used to game the West for the past five years or more, ever since their illegal nuclear program was outed by Iranian dissidents.

Iran is also continuing to develop its missile technology. It turns out that the Mullahs are working on advanced missiles with a range of over 6,200 miles ( 10,000 kilometers) capable of hitting any spot in Europe and America's east coast. One of the sites involved was the Iranian missile base in Bidganeh, where that mysterious explosion occurred back in November.

Today, after prayers marking the anniversary of the country’s 1979 Islamic Revolution, Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei addressed a large crowd, and directly threatened the US and Israel with destruction. He pledged that Iran would not withdraw from its nuclear agenda under any circumstances and promised to retaliate against any western sanctions saying, “In response to threats of oil embargo and war, we have our own threats to impose at the right time."

"Americans say all options are on the table even the option of military strike [against Iran],” he declared.

“Any military strike is ten times more harmful for America. Such threats show that they have no sufficient discourse against Iran's logic and discourse."

CAIR Wins One At West Point

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) has released an announcement bragging that they have successfully prevented retired Lieutenant General William G. “Jerry” Boykin from speaking at an upcoming prayer breakfast at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.

“We welcome Mr. Boykin’s withdrawal from this event and hope that the speaker who replaces him will offer cadets a spiritual message that promotes tolerance and mutual understanding,” said CAIR National Executive Director Nihad Awad in a statement.

I love hearing about 'tolerance and mutual understanding' from a man who is on record saying he supports Hamas and was on the verge on being indicted and tried in the second phase of the Holy Land Foundation Trial..until the Obama Department of Justice filed declinations to prosecute on Awad and a slew of others and allowed them to avoid prosecution. Yes, they're getting bold indeed.

So who is General Boykin, and why was CAIR so anxious to stop him from speaking at West Point?

Lt. General William 'Jerry' Boykin has a long and distinguished career specializing in intelligence and Special forces Warfare. Among his decorations are the Distinguished Service Medal, Defense Superior Service Medal (with 3 Oak Leaf Clusters), Legion of Merit (with Oak Leaf Cluster), Bronze Star, Air Medal and the Purple Heart (with Oak Leaf Cluster. He also attended the Armed Forces Staff College, Army War College, and received a masters from Shippensburg University.

Boykin started out in armor with the Army's 2nd Armored division and later moved over to the Screaming Eagles, where he got his jump badge as a paratrooper. He later volunteered for the Army's elite Delta Force,and participated in a number of Army operations, serving in Grenada, Somalia, Panama and Iraq.

Boykin then served with the CIA Agency as Deputy Director of Special Activities, and ended up promoted to the rank of Brigadier General.

After that,he served as the Commanding General for the U.S. Army Special Forces Command (Airborne) at Fort Bragg, North Carolina and went from there to being the the Commanding General in charge of the US Army John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center. He finished his career as Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence during the Bush Administration and retired in 2007.

So why would there be a problem with an experienced, intelligent soldier like this with a lifetime of service to his country addressing the West Point cadets at a prayer breakfast?

Oh, wait, I forgot one thing. He's a committed and devout Christian with a rather jaundiced view of Islam, sharia and jihad.

For instance, back 2003 when he was hunting down terrorist Osman Atto in Mogadishu he remarked: "He went on CNN and he laughed at us, and he said, 'They'll never get me because Allah will protect me. Allah will protect me.' Well, you know what? I knew that my God was bigger than his. I knew that my God was a real God and his was an idol."

Those remarks were taped clandestinely and whipped into a firestorm by William Arkin, an anti-military far Leftwing writer then working for NBC, who reported them in the worst possible light. Boykin attempted to clarify his remarks, saying that he was implying that Atto's true "god" was money, but that was enough to set CAIR, the dinosaur media, and all of the politically correct politicians in DC at Boykin's heels.The only one who seriously defended him was SecDef Don Rumsfeld ( likely after giving him a decent chewing out for not being more careful). Rummy referred to Boykin as "an officer that has an outstanding record in the United States armed forces" an dmentioned a few things about freedom of speech.

Since he's been retired,Boykin has been a lot more outspoken, warning that there is a stealth jihad occurring here in America and that a large percentage of the mosques have already been radicalized.He also has made remarks to the effect that as a Christian, he feels there is n ongoing spiritual war that is continuous as articulated in the Bible...and that it's not confined to the war of terrorism.In other words, he takes literally what G-d told the Jews about Amalek.

I especially liked these remarks of General Boykins, spoken in 2008 at a conference in Israel and received with a standing ovation:

We as believers have been promised that we will spend an eternity with God. Last Saturday I was doing a men's conference in Fredricksburg, Virginia and I was praying during the worship service and something dawned on me and it was the Holy Spirit speaking to me.

And the Holy Spirit said, "this is what I want you to share with My men today", and I'm going to share it with you and this is what it is: One day, we're going to stand before the gates of Heaven. Some of us want to be able to walk up there in a white robe and we want to sing Abba Father and Amazing Grace and we want to say to the Lord, "I worshiped You."

But I want you to think about this: Here's the way I want to enter the gates of Heaven. I want to come skidding in there on all fours. I want to be slipping and sliding and I want to hit the gates of heaven with a bang. And when I stand up and I stand before Christ, I want there to be blood on my knees and my elbows. I want to be covered with mud. And I want to be standing there with a ragged breast plate of righteousness. And a spear in my hand. And I want to say, "Look at me, Jesus. I've been in the battle. I've been fighting for you." Ladies and gentlemen, put your armor on and get into battle.

So CAIR and their allies won this particular battle. But General Boykin continues to write and speak and is finding a great many listeners in other quarters, so a temporary setback of this kind
is likely to just get him to intensify his efforts. I'm sure this particular warrior is going going to keep right on going until he wins.

Muslim Shooting Out Of Car Shouting "Allahu Akbar" Pleads Guilty -WAPO: 'Motive Unclear'

Today's Washington Post provides a superb example of why the majority of the dinosaur media is not to be trusted when it comes to reporting about Islamists or about jihad activity, particularly in the United States.

Yonathan Melaku, an ex-marine reservist and a naturalized citizen from Ethiopia pled guilty today in a plea bargain to three counts, including shooting at the Pentagon on Oct. 19, 2010, and attempting to vandalize veterans’ memorials on U.S. property. As part of a plea agreement, Melaku admitted to shooting at the National Museum of the Marine Corps, the Pentagon and two military recruiting offices in October and November of 2010. Here's how the WAPO described this, under the headline 'Motive of Shooter is Unclear':

Yonathan Melaku was sneaking through Fort Myer and Arlington National Cemetery, his backpack filled with plastic bags of ammonium nitrate, a notebook containing jihadist messages, and a can of black spray paint. The 23-year-old former Marine was heading to the graves of the nation’s most recent heroes, aiming to desecrate the stones with Arabic statements and leave handfuls of explosive material nearby as a message.

Before police foiled the plan in June, the vandalism was to be Melaku’s sixth attack, months after he went on a mysterious shooting spree that targeted the Pentagon, the National Museum of the Marine Corps and two other military buildings in Northern Virginia. A video found after Melaku’s arrest showed him wearing a black mask and shooting a 9mm handgun out of his Acura’s passenger window as he drove along Interstate 95, shouting “Allahu Akbar!”

Yes, 'mysterious'. Wait, it gets better:

FBI officials and prosecutors said Melaku was on a personal terror mission. They said he researched jihadism on the Internet and had references to terrorism in a notebook and on his computer. It also seemed like he was gathering materials to make an improvised explosive device, though there was no indication how he would have used it.

Melaku wanted “to create fear and terror, which is what terrorists do,” said Dana Boente, first assistant U.S. Attorney in Alexandria.

Special Agent Jacqueline Maguire, of the FBI’s Washington Field Office, said it was fortunate authorities caught Melaku before anyone was injured. She said it appears Melaku acted alone.

“This case shows that violent homegrown extremism is present in our community, whether by one person or by many,” Maguire said.

Even the FBI won't mention the words 'Islam' and 'terrorism' in the same sentence, but they at least mentioned an amorphous, undefined 'extremism' without mentioning the obvious. Listen to how the accussed's defense attorney is spinning this:

Gregory English, Melaku’s defense lawyer, said after the hearing that Melaku’s family is of the Coptic Christian faith and that they were stunned to learn of his involvement in the crimes and the references to Islamic jihad. English said the shootings were out of character for Melaku, and he wonders whether his client suffers from a psychological problem, which he has asked the court to evaluate.

“As bad as it is, this is someone who essentially broke windows,” English said. “It’s vandalism. He has no link to terrorism. . . . He had a message, but I don’t understand what that message was supposed to be.”

Either Mr. English is stupid, or he thinks we are.The only reason this home grown jihadi didn't hurt anyone is because we were extremely lucky, and that luck might not have held if Melaku had managed to escape and proceeded to manufacture the IED for which he was already putting together the ingrediants. As for Melaku's Coptic background, here's a tip...find the imams he was associating with that converted him to Islam and you'll find where the 'violent homegrown extremism in our community' Special Agent Maguire was talking about is coming from.

Melaku agreed to the plea bargain which carried a sentence of 25 years only because he was looking at a possible mandatory sentence of more than 85 years in the face of solid hard evidence. He's only 23, and he'll likely be out in 10 to 15, and you'll notice that no one is talking about deporting him when his sentence is served.

Naming Radical Islam - The Heart Of The Matter

There is a psychological term some of you may have heard me mention before known as 'category error'. It refers to the inability to solve a problem because of the inability to name it correctly, deliberately or unconsciously.

A good example can be seen here in this exchange yesterday between California Congressman Dan Lundgren, Republican Chairman of the House Administration Committee and part of the Homeland Security Committee and Paul Stockton, President Obama's Assistant Secretary of Defense for Homeland Defense and Americas’ Security Affairs. In spite of Lundgren's continued questioning, it's obvious that Stockton would prefer to have his fingernails ripped off with pliers rather than seriously say the words 'radical Islam' or deal with what that implies.

Islamic fascism continues to be treated as the 'he-who-must-not-be named' of American policy, just as Lord Voldemort was in the Harry Potter series. It's easy to see where such a policy ultimately leads, although unlike some commentators, I'm convinced that it will eventually be dealt with successfully. But the longer we wait, the higher the cost.

Assistant Secretary Stockton is wrong when he states that we're 'not at war with Islam.' Whom we aren't at war with is all Muslims, but we are definitely at war with a certain and not insignificant portion of Islam and its adherents, whether we realize it or not. A percentage approaching a majority of non-American Muslims openly feel that we're at war with Islam according to the Pew Trust polls and the percentage of American Muslims that agree with them is growing. And they wouldn't agree with Rep. Lundgren that their views are 'radical' at all, leaving that PC nonsense to gullible infidels. This is especially true of the younger demographic exposed to hard line Wahabist and Muslim Brotherhood run mosques, madrassahs, websites and imams here in America that are funded overseas.

As our old friend Sheik Omar Abdel Rahman once said, there's no such thing as 'radical Islam', only Islam and not Islam. There are many Muslims who agree with him entirely.

This disturbing trend is exactly what Rep Peter King's ( R-NY) hearings on Islam were about, and the amazing thing is that they weren't held years earlier.

Assistant Secretary Stockton is by no means a stupid man, by the way. He's an Ivy League product by way of Dartmouth and Harvard and an academic with an impressive list of think tanks and teaching positions under his belt.

Assistant Secretary Stockton undoubtedly thinks he is rendering service to his country by taking the position he's taking. Unfortunately, he isn't.

Until we create a climate that encourages the Paul Stocktons in Washington to see things as they are and either evolve or quietly remove themselves from positions of influence, this is going to continue until something game changing like another 9/11 occurs.

Naming Radical Islam - The Heart Of The Matter

There is a psychological term some of you may have heard me mention before known as 'category error'. It refers to the inability to solve a problem because of the inability to name it correctly, deliberately or unconsciously.

A good example can be seen here in this exchange yesterday between California Congressman Dan Lundgren, Republican Chairman of the House Administration Committee and part of the Homeland Security Committee and Paul Stockton, President Obama's Assistant Secretary of Defense for Homeland Defense and Americas’ Security Affairs. In spite of Lundgren's continued questioning, it's obvious that Stockton would prefer to have his fingernails ripped off with pliers rather than seriously say the words 'radical Islam' or deal with what that implies.

Islamic fascism continues to be treated as the 'he-who-must-not-be named' of American policy, just as Lord Voldemort was in the Harry Potter series. It's easy to see where such a policy ultimately leads, although unlike some commentators, I'm convinced that it will eventually be dealt with successfully. But the longer we wait, the higher the cost.

Assistant Secretary Stockton is wrong when he states that we're 'not at war with Islam.' Whom we aren't at war with is all Muslims, but we are definitely at war with a certain and not insignificant portion of Islam and its adherents, whether we realize it or not. A percentage approaching a majority of non-American Muslims openly feel that we're at war with Islam according to the Pew Trust polls and the percentage of American Muslims that agree with them is growing. And they wouldn't agree with Rep. Lundgren that their views are 'radical' at all, leaving that PC nonsense to gullible infidels. This is especially true of the younger demographic exposed to hard line Wahabist and Muslim Brotherhood run mosques, madrassahs, websites and imams here in America that are funded overseas.

As our old friend Sheik Omar Abdel Rahman once said, there's no such thing as 'radical Islam', only Islam and not Islam. There are many Muslims who agree with him entirely.

This disturbing trend is exactly what Rep Peter King's ( R-NY) hearings on Islam were about, and the amazing thing is that they weren't held years earlier.

Assistant Secretary Stockton is by no means a stupid man, by the way. He's an Ivy League product by way of Dartmouth and Harvard and an academic with an impressive list of think tanks and teaching positions under his belt.

Assistant Secretary Stockton undoubtedly thinks he is rendering service to his country by taking the position he's taking. Unfortunately, he isn't.

Defense Department Classifies Ft. Hood Massacre As 'Workplace Violence'

Unbelievable. Obviously, they got direct orders from the White House on this one:

Sen. Susan Collins on Wednesday blasted the Defense Department for classifying the Fort Hood massacre ashttp://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gif workplace violence and suggested political correctness is being placed above the security of the nation's Armed Forces at home.

During a joint session of the Senate and House Homeland Security Committee on Wednesday, the Maine Republican referenced a letter from the Defense Department depicting the Fort Hood shootings as workplace violence. She criticized the Obama administration for failing to identify the threat as radical Islam.

13 people were murdered along with an unborn child and dozens were wounded at the Ft. Hood base in 2009 by jihadi Major Nidal Hasan, an Army psychiatrist and self described 'Palestinian' who was promoted through the ranks even after his superiors noted various outbursts of his in favor of jihad and Islamism.

And the Defense Department makes no mention of jihad or Islam and classifies it as 'workplace violence' like a shoving match out in a corporate parking lot?

Senator Collins is a reliably Liberal voice in the Senate, and even she couldn't stomach this.

This dovetails interestingly with Rep. Peter King's (R-NY) fourth series of Congressional hearings on Radical Islam.

"There is a serious threat within the military from people who have enlisted who are radical jihadists," King said. "The Defense Department is very concerned about them. They feel they're a threat to the military both for what they can do within the military itself and also because of the weapons skills they acquire while they're in the military."

According to Rep. King's report, 6,024 servicemen of Muslim faith have served honorably since 9/11 and 14 of them have been killed in action, all in Iraq:

Of course, while we should honor the thousands of Muslim Americans who have served honorably – and the 14 who have made the ultimate sacrifice for their country – that doesn’t mean we can ignore the very real threat of homegrown terror in the military. As Fort Hood shooter Nidal Hasan and Army Pvt. Naser Abdo have shown, radicalization puts all of our troops at risk – including Muslim American service members. According to the committee report, “The Committee’s Majority Staff has reason to believe that the actual number of radicalized troops is far more than publicly realized or acknowledged.”

The report continues:

But a particularly insidious aspect of the homegrown terror threat remains radicalized troops who target their fellow brothers and sisters in arms, without regard to their faith. The Committee’s Majority Staff has determined that nine or more Muslim-Americans who are current, former or would-be military insiders have been convicted since 2001 or stand charged with national security crimes. An additional two Muslim-Americans convicted of planning terrorist attacks against military targets inside the U.S. had earlier tried and failed to join police departments or the FBI and CIA.

Yet our own Defense Department continues to ignore the obvious.

UK Girl Gang Gets Suspended Sentence After Vicious Assault: 'Muslims And Unused To Alcohol'

A gang of Somali Muslim women walked free after a brutal assault that was caught on Britain's ever present CC cameras because the judge accepted the fact that they were Muslims and unused to drinking alcohol as a mitigating circumstance:

A gang of Muslim women who attacked a passer-by in a city centre walked free from court after a judge heard they were ‘not used to being drunk’ because of their religion.

The group – three sisters and a cousin – allegedly screamed ‘kill the white slag’ as they set upon Rhea Page as she waited for a taxi with her boyfriend.

Miss Page, 22, was left with a bald patch where her hair was pulled out in the attack and was left ‘black and blue’ after suffering a flurry of kicks to the head, back, arms and legs while motionless on the pavement.

Ambaro Maxamed, 24, students Ayan Maxamed, 28, and Hibo Maxamed, 24, and their 28-year-old cousin Ifrah Nur each admitted actual bodily harm, which carries a maximum sentence of five years’ imprisonment.

But Judge Robert Brown gave them suspended jail terms after hearing mitigation that as Muslims, the women were not used to being drunk. The Koran prohibits Muslims from consuming alcohol, although Islamic teachings permit its use for medicinal purposes.

After the sentencing, Ambaro Maxamed wrote on her Twitter account: ‘Happy happy happy!’, ‘I’m so going out’, and ‘Today has been such a great day’.

The attack took place last June as Rhea Page walked to a taxi stand with her boyfriend Lewis Moore, 23, in Leicester city center. The CC video, which you can see at the link shows the quartet of Somalis approaching the pair and then attacking them for no apparent reason. Moore attempted to defend his girl friend, but every time he beat off one of the gang another of the four girls would kick Page, who was prone on the ground after the initial assault.

Page said, "We were just minding our own business but they kept shouting “white bitch” and “white slag” at me. When I turned around one of them grabbed my hair then threw me on the ground.

They were taking turns to kick me over and over. I thought they were going to kill me. I honestly think they attacked me just because I am white. I can’t think of any other reason."

The girls admitted actual bodily harm, which carries a maximum sentence of five years’ imprisonment.

But Judge Robert Brown gave them suspended jail terms after hearing mitigation from their counsel that as Muslims, the women were not used to being drunk. Judge Brown also claims he took into consideration - wait for it - that the Somali gang might have felt they were subjected to 'unreasonable force' when Moore attempted to defend his girlfriend!

Nor were any of the defendants was charged with racial aggravation, even though Britain's laws are fairly explicit.They were all given suspended sentences of 6 months and walked out of the courtroom free as birds.

Anyone want to bet that had it been a white British gang assaulting a Somalian Muslim couple the sentences might have been just a bit different?
