Occupy Oakland Creeps Riot, Break Into City Hall, Burn American Flag

You'll remember that far left Oakland mayor Democrat Jean Quan was noticeably tolerant and supportive of the #Occupy Oakland creeps the last time they erupted back in November.Their pestilential encampment was only dismantled by police after it became a major health hazard.

Over the weekend, #Occupy Oakland repaid the city's tolerance by breaking into City Hall and did massive damage to the facility, including seizing American flags and burning them as part of the festivities.They also tore down fencing at the adjacent Henry Kaiser convention center and smashed everything they could get their hands on, including construction equipment left onsite. The #Occupy mob fought with police throughout the entire day, throwing rocks, bottles and other objects at officers. The Police responded by deploying smoke, tear gas and bean bag rounds. They later marched downtown,breaking into a number of buildings including a YMCA and damaging them.Over 300 were arrested.

The riot occurred after #Occupy protesters demanded the use a vacant building as a social center and threatened to to shut down the port, occupy the airport and take over City Hall.

Mayor Quan was typically schizoid about the event, on one hand demanding that the rioters "stop using Oakland as its playground" and on the other hand refusing to condemn the #Occupy movement, blaming on a small "very radical, violent" splinter group within #Occupy for the violence and destruction.

In media stories about this and other incidents, it's notable that no mention has been made of the fact that prominent Democrats like Nancy Pelosi and President Obama have explicitly endorsed the #Occupy protesters and everything they stand for. And that the Democrats and of course Democrat paymaster George Soros have helped finance it.

Egypt Erupts In Massive Anti-Government Protests

The protests are being directed against the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces and its head Field Marshal Hussein Tantawi, the de facto transitional rulers of the country. And as I pointed out previously, the ongoing protests are the result of some pretty clever tactics by the Muslim Brotherhood.

The army was formerly seen as heroes by the Egyptian masses because they had pointedly refused to fire on protesters in places like Tahrir Square during the riots against ex-President Mubarak. They're not anymore, because the Brotherhood and other Islamist groups have been a major force in gradually fomenting discontent against the army's rule once it became obvious that the army was not quite ready to completely cave in to Islamist rule.

Now, the army is seen as oppressors and the chief obstacle to 'democracy' and it's the Brotherhood and the Salafists who are seen as the heroes, and are gathering in the votes.

There's no question in my mind but that Egypt is going the way of Iran. In fact, back months ago when the usual suspects were babbling away about the wonders of the Arab Spring, I predicted it.

The Egyptian military will be faced with the choice of either standing aside and going along with the Islamists in order to try and preserve their perks or making war on their own people.

This is exactly the same choice the Iranian military was forced to make with Khomeini, an dthey made the devil's bargain to stay out of the way and let him and his followers take over.

In later years, historians will be looking at President Obama's encouragement of the Muslim Brotherhood and the Islamists in the same way way they now see Jimmy Carter's encouragement of the same thing in Iran.

As horrible as the above picture looks, just wait until the Brotherhood and the Salafists are running Egypt.

Occupy Protesters New Tactic - Shut Down West Coast Ports

The OWS protesters are through destroying public parks. Their latest target is ports on the West Coast.

The protests being billed as action against "Wall Street on the waterfront" are perhaps the Occupy movement's most dramatic gesture since police raids sent most remaining camps scattering last month. Demonstrators began forming those camps around the country about two months ago to protest what they call corporate greed and economic inequality.

Kari Koch, organizer with Shut Down the Ports Working Group of Occupy Portland, said by shutting down the port, Wall Street will be unable to create profit.

"We will not stand for corporate profits at the expense of working people, we will not stand for attacks on workers, and we will not allow our schools to be closed, social services slashed, and families to be impoverished by your greed!" Koch said Monday in statement.

Organizers hope to draw thousands to stand in solidarity with longshoremen and port truckers they say are being exploited.

"Taking on and blocking the 1 percent at the port is also taking on the global issue of exploitation by capitalism," said Occupy Oakland blockade organizer Barucha Peller.

The action has already started at the busy ports of Oakland, Los Angeles/Long Beach,and Portland and is expected to extend to other West Coast ports.

The effect this is going to have on small businesses during the holiday season and the people whose jobs depend on them or whose jobs are connected to the ports is obviously not a concern to the OWS crowd...because they gotta make a statement!

There is a silver lining in this cloud, however.

One thing most ports have in abundance is fire hoses, and being that the protesters are so close to the water's edge. Remember, cleanliness is next to G-dliness...and it all drains to the ocean.




Another alternative is treating the OWS gang to a little cruise, perhaps in a nice container or three. I'd recommend China as a destination, since the Chinese are directly affected by the tying up of their exports and would no doubt want to spend a little time re-educating the OWS crowd on why obstructing their exports was not a nice thing to do.

They certainly wouldn't be missed here, and a valuable life lesson awaits.

Of course, if we had real leadership in the White House things might be very different. But of course, we don't.

Occupy LA Is Evicted...And Leaves Behind A Destroyed Park And 30 Tons Of Trash

The Los Angeles City Council, the Mayor and the LAPD finally evicted the squatters from Occupy LA yesterday. It took about 1,400 police, some of them wearing hazmat suits to do it, which meant they weren't on the streets fighting crime or answering radio calls. Almost 300 people were arrested.

The City Hall Park,in downtown Los Angeles used to have grass in the area shown above. It doesn't anymore, even with the rain Los Angeles has had lately and will have to be reseeded at taxpayer expense.

Over 30 tons of trash will have to be removed from the site, and 3,000 gallons of water in what amounts to a small swamp in a catch basin was vacuumed up and tested for hazardous materials.

Sanitation workers, many of them wearing hazmat suits complained about the stench and the vermin present. Many of them described it as a garbage dump, which is exactly what it was.Except garbage dumps are usually better maintained.

The estimated cost to the taxpayers for the cleanup alone is estimated at $500,000. That doesn't account for the costs incurred during their stay, police overtime, use of city facilities, the cost of incarcerating those protesters who refused to leave or the cost of repairs to the park.

Mayor Tony Villaraigosa went public about how proud he was that there was no violence surrounding the eviction of the Occupy protesters. It amazes me that he or anyone else could be proud of anything connected with this sordid affair.

It was the mayor and the majority of the city council who welcomed Occupy LA,passed a resolution applauding what they were doing and allowed them to break the city's laws with impunity. The fact that the mayor and most of the Council are Democrats likely had something to do with that.Particularly in the case of the mayor, who's making noises about running for governor next time out.

After making these vagrants welcome on public owned land at taxpayer expense, they were forced to pull the plug when it became an actual health hazard. And now,the mayor and the council expect the taxpayers of Los Angeles to pay the bill for their party.

You know what? You invited them to stay, you applauded them, you stood by as they created a garbage dump on publicly owned land.

It's your mess. The cost to an already cash strapped city is probably just shy of a million dollars. You pay for it - out of your own pockets.

Wall Street Responds With Leaflet Bomb On Occupy Chicago: "We Are Smarter, More Vicious"

The worm may just be turning. The above is one of a whole slew of leaflets dropped from a Chicago office building on the 'Occupy Chicago' encampment, and it ties in with something I said here back when this started.

"We are Wall Street. It’s our job to make money. Whether it’s a commodity, stock, bond, or some hypothetical piece of fake paper, it doesn’t matter. We would trade baseball cards if it were profitable. I didn’t hear America complaining when the market was roaring to 14,000 and everyone’s 401k doubled every 3 years. Just like gambling, its not a problem until you lose. I’ve never heard of anyone going to Gamblers Anonymous because they won too much in Vegas.

Well now the market crapped out, & even though it has come back somewhat, the government and the average Joes are still looking for a scapegoat. God knows there has to be one for everything. Well, here we are.

Go ahead and continue to take us down, but you’re only going to hurt yourselves. What’s going to happen when we can’t find jobs on the Street anymore? Guess what: We’re going to take yours. We get up at 5am & work till 10pm or later. We’re used to not getting up to pee when we have a position. We don’t take an hour or more for a lunch break. We don’t demand a union. We don’t retire at 50 with a pension. We eat what we kill, and when the only thing left to eat is on your dinner plates, we’ll eat that.

For years teachers and other unionized labor have had us fooled. We were too busy working to notice. Do you really think that we are incapable of teaching 3rd graders and doing landscaping? We’re going to take your cushy jobs with tenure and 4 months off a year and whine just like you that we are so-o-o-o underpaid for building the youth of America. Say goodbye to your overtime and double time and a half. I’ll be hitting grounders to the high school baseball team for $5k extra a summer, thank you very much.

So now that we’re going to be making $85k a year without upside, Joe Mainstreet is going to have his revenge, right? Wrong! Guess what: we’re going to stop buying the new 80k car, we aren’t going to leave the 35 percent tip at our business dinners anymore. No more free rides on our backs. We’re going to landscape our own back yards, wash our cars with a garden hose in our driveways. Our money was your money. You spent it. When our money dries up, so does yours.

The difference is, you lived off of it, we rejoiced in it. The Obama administration and the Democratic National Committee might get their way and knock us off the top of the pyramid, but it’s really going to hurt like hell for them when our fat asses land directly on the middle class of America and knock them to the bottom.

We aren’t dinosaurs. We are smarter and more vicious than that, and we are going to survive. The question is, now that Obama & his administration are making Joe Mainstreet our food supply…will he? and will they?”

The Real Face of The 'Occupy Wall Street' Movement: "It's The Jew's Fault!"

Notice that his fellow protesters do absolutely nothing to counteract this anti-Semite. Instead, they gather around him in solidarity. Based on first hand reports I've heard, his viewpoint is not at all uncommon.This is not one isolated lunatic.

For those of you whom are history challenged, this is exactly how the Nazis started,and it's highly fitting that ex-Nazi collaborator George Soros is funding this group and others like it nationwide.

Contrast this if you will with the Tea Party. Literally tons of footage has been taken of Tea Party rallies nationwide to try to find even one hanger on saying something remotely like this to justify the constant accusations of 'racism' and nothing. Nada. Zip.

The Obama Administration and prominent Democrats have made a lot of sympathetic noises about the 'Occupy' protesters. Just yesterday, Nancy Pelosi was quoted as saying 'G-d bless them'.

This is quite fitting, since the 'Occupy' protests are intended as the opening salvo of the Obama Campaign and a foretaste of what it's going to be like as the president continues to beat the class warfare drum loudly. Is this really what we want in the White House?

A Few Thoughts on The 'Occupy' Protests

Much attention is being given lately to the 'Occupy Wall Street' and similar protests.

As both Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh among many others have documented, the protesters are mostly Soros-funded and linked to the Obama campaign via entities like the Tides Foundation and Open Society. The Working People's Party, The Democrat's official arm in New York City is actually advertising on Craig'sList to hire protesters for Wall Street and offering $350-650 a week, depending on responsibility and length of time on staff. And the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC), the official campaign arm of the Democrats in the House of Representatives is actively fundraising to finance the 'Occupy' protests. Moreover, a few trial balloons have even been floated about President Obama suspending the 2012 elections as a class warfare-style revolution creates chaos in the streets.

Much has been made of an influential and well connected Democrat like North Carolina Democrat Governer Bev Purdue talking about suspending congressional elections (no, she wasn't kidding) and ex-Obama Director of the Office of Management and Budget Peter Orszag's remarks in his recent piece in The New Republic: “We might be a healthier democracy if we were a slightly less democratic one.”

Both remarks could certainly be seen as feelers to see how the idea might play with the general public, given how Progressives feel about Big Government versus what the Founders had in mind when they created this as a free country.

Are we headed for the suspension of elections after an Obama-induced 'emergency'? Certainly I could see where the idea might be attractive to him.

However, there are a number of practical problems with that scenario.

Obama is extremely unpopular with the majority of Americans. An attempt by him to suspend elections would cause a firestorm in opposition and of necessity would have to involve the US military.Given what the president's relationship with the military has been thus far, I doubt they'd go along with it. Even cops and the military say no sometimes, especially in a free society where they enjoy support from the majority of Americans.

Third, a great deal of media attention is being paid to the Soros- funded 'occupy protests' as a harbinger of a Russian-style class based revolution. In their heart of hearts, many of the Lefties in America's press rooms simply thrill to the idea of a romantic revolution, just like the profs used to talk about back in J-school when they reminisced about those heady days back in the sixties. However, a closer look shows the protesters' actual demands are mostly nonsensical and reflect that most of these people are simply doing what they're being paid to do and repeating whatever slogans and talking points they're told to say.

Before giving this much worth as a serious movement, I think it's worth taking a look at whom most of these people actually are..students, professional agitators, latter day hippies and 'activists' who mostly grew up middle class, are used to having their rights respected and feel justified in bitching about a little pepper spray and semi-rough handling.

They have no concept of what might happen if their opposition decided that they didn't feel like respecting those rights any more and started taking stern and even violent measures to restore order. Remember, it's the Right that mainly has the guns in this country and knows how to use them.

Rather than a nice 'class warfare revolution ' resulting in a Soviet style statist regime, I think the Left would end up with something like what happened in Indonesia with the attempted PKI Communist takeover there..thousands of dead Leftists and a lot of others fleeing the country, in jail, or in hiding.

As I've frequently said before, the big question now is whether we retain our Beloved Republic or go the way of Rome. That Republic is our direct precursor and it lasted 500 years until the same sort of people who are on the Left now and were relying on demos,the mob, to shore up their political power actually endangered the stability and survival of the country. That's when Roman military hero Julius Caesar crossed the Rubicon, most of the people of Rome decided this democracy stuff was more trouble than it was worth and looked to a guy on a white horse with simple answers to restore order.

I'm certainly not advocating the above scenario. I merely state that if the Left tries to create chaos in the streets and the Obama Administration attempts to use it to suspend elections, that's the very likely outcome.Most of the Left doesn't read Scripture and is largely ignorant of it, so they're unaware of the wise words of the Biblical Prophet Hosea about those who sow the wind reaping the whirlwind.

If things go to that point, I have a feeling that it would up end up being a particularly nasty blowback, and one the Left never anticipated in the wildest imagination. Hopefully it won't come to that, as common sense prevails.

A Few Thoughts on The 'Occupy' Protests

Much attention is being given lately to the 'Occupy Wall Street' and similar protests.

As both Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh among many others have documented, the protesters are mostly Soros-funded and linked to the Obama campaign via entities like the Tides Foundation and Open Society. The Working People's Party, The Democrat's official arm in New York City is actually advertising on Craig'sList to hire protesters for Wall Street and offering $350-650 a week, depending on responsibility and length of time on staff. And the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC), the official campaign arm of the Democrats in the House of Representatives is actively fundraising to finance the 'Occupy' protests. Moreover, a few trial balloons have even been floated about President Obama suspending the 2012 elections as a class warfare-style revolution creates chaos in the streets.

Much has been made of an influential and well connected Democrat like North Carolina Democrat Governer Bev Purdue talking about suspending congressional elections (no, she wasn't kidding) and ex-Obama Director of the Office of Management and Budget Peter Orszag's remarks in his recent piece in The New Republic: “We might be a healthier democracy if we were a slightly less democratic one.”

Both remarks could certainly be seen as feelers to see how the idea might play with the general public, given how Progressives feel about Big Government versus what the Founders had in mind when they created this as a free country.

Are we headed for the suspension of elections after an Obama-induced 'emergency'? Certainly I could see where the idea might be attractive to him.

However, there are a number of practical problems with that scenario.

Obama is extremely unpopular with the majority of Americans. An attempt by him to suspend elections would cause a firestorm in opposition and of necessity would have to involve the US military.Given what the president's relationship with the military has been thus far, I doubt they'd go along with it. Even cops and the military say no sometimes, especially in a free society where they enjoy support from the majority of Americans.
