Maddie is overjoyed when she finds out that she has been made partner at her law firm. Just as she informs everyone of the news, she learns that she has been fired, and decides to lie about taking a better job to save face. Meanwhile, Vicky gives Casey and Mia an old children's book which confuses them, as they believe there is a deeper meaning behind it.
